Sprengeri Asparagus Fern – A Lush and Elegant Addition to Your Garden

About the Bloom

The Sprengeri Asparagus Fern does not produce blooms, but its delicate and feathery foliage more than makes up for it. With vibrant green needle-like leaves that cascade gracefully, this plant adds a touch of elegance and texture to any garden setting.

What to Know About the Plant

This evergreen plant features bright green foliage that remains lush and full all year round. It is perfect for adding a pop of color and depth to your garden with its arching stems and fine leaves. The Sprengeri Asparagus Fern can grow up to 2-3 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide, making it an excellent choice for borders, hanging baskets, or ground cover.

Enhancing your Fruitscape

Pair the Sprengeri Asparagus Fern with fruit trees like Fig, Cherry, or Plum to create a stunning contrast between the delicate fern foliage and the fruit-bearing trees. The lush greenery of the fern complements the vibrant colors of the fruit trees, adding visual interest and texture to your landscape design. Additionally, mixing in berry plants such as Blackberries or Raspberries can enhance the overall look and feel of your garden, creating a cohesive and inviting space.

Planting & Care
Landscaping with Ferns

Ferns are a very special plant with lots of understated beauty. These ferns can be so elegant without having to show off a colorful flower or bright fruit. Ferns just stay true to nature’s beauty by being simple and graceful. They unravel one leaf at a time to display the wonderful texture and patterns they have to offer. We love using ferns in planters to give it that contrasting texture and pattern. We also like to fill in shady garden beds with ferns to create a cool oasis.

Growing Guide

Currently, we only have growing guides for our edible plants.   We are working on them for our ornamental & landscaping plants, and will add them in the near future.  Contact us if you have questions on how to plant and nurture your Ferns, and we will be glad to have one of our gardeners assist you.

Ornamental & Landscaping Plants at Just Fruits & Exotics

Although Just Fruits and Exotics has been providing ornamental and landscaping plants to customers at our nursery since we added “Exotics” to our name in the 1990’s, we never had them available to our customers online.

However, September of 2018, with the launch of our updated Just Fruits and Exotics website, we added many of our ornamental and landscaping plants to our online store for our customers nationwide.   We encourage you to “Fruitscape” your yards, mixing edibles and ornamentals to make your own edible garden.

Shipping Information

Before Your Plants Arrive: You can find many guides on unpacking, planting, & care, on our growing guides page.

The Journey From Our Nursery to Your Door:  We NEVER ship our plants bare root. Your plant will travel in the very container in which it was nurtured. We thoroughly prune and water them before packing, and make sure they’re well wrapped to retain moisture during transit. It’s as though you’ve personally collected them from our nursery!

Choose Your Ship Date: We understand you’ll want to be available when your plant arrives. Our checkout process features a handy calendar that allows you to choose the Monday on which you want your plant to ship. Depending on your location, you’ll likely receive your plant by Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of that week. Once shipped, UPS will generate a tracking number and send it to the email you provided. You can then follow your plant’s journey and ensure someone is available to unpack it on arrival day.
