What to do immediately upon arrival:

• Remove the plant(s) from the box and remove the bag from around the pot. If you have a bush type plant, cut the tape to release the branches. Water as soon as possible.
• Immediate direct sunlight can damage your plants. Put the plants in a shady area for a couple of days to help them adjust. After this period, move all plants (accept Paw Paws) to full sun. Paw Paws are shade lovers, leave them in the shade.
• Water your plants daily. We water our plants daily at the nursery, so they are dependent on daily watering. Try to plant within a few months. If you cannot plant them within this time frame, be sure to move them to a larger pot. (Note, If you are gardening in a colder climate, zone 8a and below, hold any plants that have new growth on them until temperatures are above freezing in your area. At Just Fruits, we price all of our plants online exactly as we do in the nursery. Therefore, the shipping costs is simply what it costs for us to get your order from the nursery to you. Whereas many competitors may increase the plants prices, in order to hide shipping costs, we do not do that.  We understand that shipping large, quality plants is not cheap, but we elect to be honest with our customers, rather than hide the costs.  We want you to see exactly what the plant costs are, separate from what the shipping costs are. That way if you decided to come visit the nursery to pick up your plants instead, you would know how much you save in shipping.

We do NOT ship bare root. Our trees are shipped in the containers they are grown in. This helps to ensure a disease-free root system, while practically eliminating transplant shock. The plants are watered well before they are packed and wrapped in a shipping bag to ensure they stay moist during transit. We care for all of our plants and although the costs are slightly higher than shipping bare root, we find this to be the healthiest way to ship them.

With large freight orders, we can many times negotiate great rates with UPS.  At checkout you will be charged 27%, however we will contact you prior to shipping your order and go over the true shipping and handling costs.  If they true shipping and handling cost comes out below 27% you will be credited back the difference.  If the true shipping and handling cost comes out above 27%, you will not be charged anything extra, and we will take on the additional costs.

We now ship all year round. However, we do watch for extreme weather. If there is extremely cold or hot weather expected around your shipment date, on your path of shipment, we will contact you and notify you that we plan to hold the shipment for a later date. If you ask us to still ship it, through the conditions, we will not be responsible for any damage caused to the plant & UPS will not refund any claims.

We love our plants, and do not want to see them die, so we would rather wait till it’s the right time to ship it, than risk losing a plant in transit.

In addition to trimming to fit the box, we also prune your trees to begin their training system. Well trained fruit trees live longer and have a more productive life. They will be will be easier to harvest, have less disease and insect troubles.

We train our trees from birth to the system that suits the tree the best. If you wish to do your own pruning at planting, just make a note in Order Notes at checkout. Remember that our trees are large, so if you say don’t prune my trees you may incur an oversize boxing fee, which is usually around $20.00 per box. We will contact you prior to shipping the oversized box, to confirm the exact additional costs.

Credit cards are now charged at checkout. Due to the timeframe the card companies give us to capture payment, we now charge your credit card at checkout. If for any reason you decide to cancel your order before it is shipped, or we do not have the plant in stock, we will refund your card. At least 48 hours notice is required for any cancellations.

Privacy Policy: We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. We may collect personally identifiable
information when you visit our site. We also automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information and the page(s) you visited. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to anyone.

Security Policy: Your payment and personal information is always safe. Our Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software is the industry standard and among the best software available today for secure
commerce transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, and address, so that it cannot be read over the internet.
