Juncus Blue Arrows - Elegant Addition to Your Landscape
About the Bloom
The Juncus Blue Arrows plant doesn't produce blooms, but its striking blue-green foliage adds a unique touch to any garden. The slender, upright leaves create a sense of movement and grace, resembling a cluster of delicate arrows pointing towards the sky. This ornamental grass is a standout feature in any landscape, offering a contemporary and sophisticated aesthetic.
What to Know About the Plant
Juncus Blue Arrows features vivid blue-green leaves that stay evergreen year-round, providing a splash of color in your garden even during the winter months. This grass-like plant grows in a dense, compact form, reaching a height of 2-3 feet. Its narrow foliage and vertical growth habit make it an ideal choice for adding height and texture to borders, containers, or mass plantings.
Enhancing your Fruitscape
Pair the Juncus Blue Arrows with fruit trees like Citrus, Fig, or Olive to create a stunning contrast between the lush, green foliage of the trees and the sleek, vertical leaves of the Juncus Blue Arrows. Add berry plants such as Blackberries or Blueberries for a pop of color and a touch of sweetness. Tropical plants like Banana or Pineapple can complement the contemporary look of the Juncus Blue Arrows with their bold, exotic foliage. Herbs like Mint or Thyme can be planted nearby to provide a fragrant and flavorful addition to your garden design. By incorporating the Juncus Blue Arrows into your fruitscape, you'll create a visually dynamic and cohesive landscape that combines both ornamental beauty and edible delights.

Landscaping with Grasses
These grasses are so incredibly lovely to use in the landscape because they can be used in so many ways. They can border a bed or be the centerpiece. They can be scattered throughout to create tuffs of texture to contrast your shrubs and trees. Or they can be neatly mixed in with flowers to accentuate the colors and shapes. We love these grasses because of all the fun we have planting them and watching them grow to be such a joy.
Recommended Fertilizers for Planting and Maintenance
- Starter Fertilizer:  Plant with Espoma Organic Bio-tone® Starter Plus. This will increase root mass and help avoid transplant loss in difficult planting conditions.
- Fertilizer to Maintain: Grasses will do well when fertilized each year with Espoma Organic Palm-tone Fertilizer
Growing Guide
Currently, we only have growing guides for our edible plants.  We are working on them for our ornamental & landscaping plants, and will add them in the near future. Contact us if you have questions on how to plant and nurture your Grasses, and we will be glad to have one of our gardeners assist you.
Ornamental & Landscaping Plants at Just Fruits & Exotics
Although Just Fruits and Exotics has been providing ornamental and landscaping plants to customers at our nursery since we added “Exotics” to our name in the 1990’s, we never had them available to our customers online.
However, September of 2018, with the launch of our updated Just Fruits and Exotics website, we added many of our ornamental and landscaping plants to our online store for our customers nationwide.  We encourage you to “Fruitscape†your yards, mixing edibles and ornamentals to make your own edible garden.

Shipping Information
Before Your Plants Arrive: You can find many guides on unpacking, planting, & care, on our growing guides page.
The Journey From Our Nursery to Your Door: We NEVER ship our plants bare root. Your plant will travel in the very container in which it was nurtured. We thoroughly prune and water them before packing, and make sure they’re well wrapped to retain moisture during transit. It’s as though you’ve personally collected them from our nursery!
Choose Your Ship Date: We understand you’ll want to be available when your plant arrives. Our checkout process features a handy calendar that allows you to choose the Monday on which you want your plant to ship. Depending on your location, you’ll likely receive your plant by Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of that week. Once shipped, UPS will generate a tracking number and send it to the email you provided. You can then follow your plant’s journey and ensure someone is available to unpack it on arrival day.
