Variegated Liriope - Elegant Addition to Your Garden
About the Bloom
The Variegated Liriope is a non-blooming plant that thrives on its stunning variegated leaves. Featuring a mix of green and creamy white stripes, this plant adds a touch of elegance to any garden setting. Its foliage remains vibrant and attractive throughout the year, making it a versatile choice for landscaping.
What to Know About the Plant
This evergreen plant showcases graceful arching leaves that create a lush, ground-covering effect. The Variegated Liriope is a low-maintenance plant that grows to a height of 12-18 inches, spreading out to form dense clumps. Its compact size and attractive foliage make it a perfect choice for borders, edging, or mass planting in both sun and shade.
Enhancing your Fruitscape
Pair the Variegated Liriope with fruit trees like Citrus, Apple, or Cherry for a mix of ornamental and edible plants in your landscape design. The vibrant colors of the Variegated Liriope's leaves complement the foliage of fruit trees, creating a visually appealing contrast. You can also incorporate berry plants such as Blueberries or Raspberries for a pop of color and texture. Tropical plants like Banana or Pineapple add a tropical flair to your garden, enhancing the overall aesthetic.
With Just Fruits and Exotics, you can enjoy the convenience of receiving your Variegated Liriope shipped 100% in pot, ensuring a smooth transition from our nursery to your garden. Our superior packaging and easy shipping make shopping online a breeze. Elevate your garden with the Variegated Liriope and create a beautiful and harmonious outdoor space that reflects your unique style and taste.
Landscaping with Grasses
These grasses are so incredibly lovely to use in the landscape because they can be used in so many ways. They can border a bed or be the centerpiece. They can be scattered throughout to create tuffs of texture to contrast your shrubs and trees. Or they can be neatly mixed in with flowers to accentuate the colors and shapes. We love these grasses because of all the fun we have planting them and watching them grow to be such a joy.
Recommended Fertilizers for Planting and Maintenance
- Starter Fertilizer:  Plant with Espoma Organic Bio-tone® Starter Plus. This will increase root mass and help avoid transplant loss in difficult planting conditions.
- Fertilizer to Maintain: Grasses will do well when fertilized each year with Espoma Organic Palm-tone Fertilizer
Growing Guide
Currently, we only have growing guides for our edible plants.  We are working on them for our ornamental & landscaping plants, and will add them in the near future. Contact us if you have questions on how to plant and nurture your Grasses, and we will be glad to have one of our gardeners assist you.
Ornamental & Landscaping Plants at Just Fruits & Exotics
Although Just Fruits and Exotics has been providing ornamental and landscaping plants to customers at our nursery since we added “Exotics” to our name in the 1990’s, we never had them available to our customers online.
However, September of 2018, with the launch of our updated Just Fruits and Exotics website, we added many of our ornamental and landscaping plants to our online store for our customers nationwide.  We encourage you to “Fruitscape†your yards, mixing edibles and ornamentals to make your own edible garden.

Shipping Information
Before Your Plants Arrive: You can find many guides on unpacking, planting, & care, on our growing guides page.
The Journey From Our Nursery to Your Door: We NEVER ship our plants bare root. Your plant will travel in the very container in which it was nurtured. We thoroughly prune and water them before packing, and make sure they’re well wrapped to retain moisture during transit. It’s as though you’ve personally collected them from our nursery!
Choose Your Ship Date: We understand you’ll want to be available when your plant arrives. Our checkout process features a handy calendar that allows you to choose the Monday on which you want your plant to ship. Depending on your location, you’ll likely receive your plant by Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of that week. Once shipped, UPS will generate a tracking number and send it to the email you provided. You can then follow your plant’s journey and ensure someone is available to unpack it on arrival day.
