Tamukeyama Japanese Maple – Elegance and Serenity for Your Garden
About the Bloom
Although the Tamukeyama Japanese Maple doesn’t produce blooms, its stunning crimson red leaves provide a vibrant and eye-catching display throughout the year. The delicate foliage adds a touch of elegance and sophistication to any landscape, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere.
What to Know About the Plant
The Tamukeyama Japanese Maple is a deciduous plant with cascading branches that form a graceful, weeping habit. Its deep red, lace-like leaves turn a brilliant scarlet in the fall, offering a spectacular show of color. This compact tree typically grows to a height of 6-8 feet, making it an ideal choice for small gardens, patios, or containers.
Enhancing your Fruitscape
Pair the Tamukeyama Japanese Maple with fruit trees like Cherry, Plum, or Apple to create a striking contrast between the vibrant foliage of the maple and the lush greenery of the fruit trees. The ornamental beauty of this Japanese Maple also complements berry plants such as Blueberries, Raspberries, or Strawberries, adding a pop of color and texture to your landscape. For a tropical touch, consider adding Pineapple Guava, Citrus trees, or Banana plants, which thrive in similar growing conditions. Herbs like Mint, Basil, or Thyme can also be planted around the base of the maple to enhance its aromatic qualities and create a sensory experience in your garden.
