Super Blue Liriope Grass
About the Bloom
The Super Blue Liriope Grass is a non-flowering plant, known for its striking foliage rather than blooms. Its slender, arching leaves are a vibrant blue-green hue, providing a pop of color in any landscape. This grass is perfect for adding texture and visual interest to your garden without the need for blooms.
What to Know About the Plant
This evergreen grass forms neat clumps of foliage that grow up to 12-18 inches tall, creating a lush ground cover or border plant. Its foliage remains attractive year-round, making it a versatile and low-maintenance addition to your garden. The Super Blue Liriope Grass is a hardy plant that thrives in various soil conditions and is drought-tolerant once established.
Enhancing your Fruitscape
Pair the Super Blue Liriope Grass with fruit trees like Cherry or Plum for a beautiful contrast of colors and textures in your garden. Mix it with berry plants such as Strawberry or Blackberry to create a dynamic and visually appealing landscape. Tropical plants like Banana or Pineapple can add a touch of exotic flair to your garden design when combined with the Super Blue Liriope Grass. For an herbaceous touch, consider planting Mint or Basil near this grass to create a sensory experience in your garden.

Landscaping with Grasses
These grasses are so incredibly lovely to use in the landscape because they can be used in so many ways. They can border a bed or be the centerpiece. They can be scattered throughout to create tuffs of texture to contrast your shrubs and trees. Or they can be neatly mixed in with flowers to accentuate the colors and shapes. We love these grasses because of all the fun we have planting them and watching them grow to be such a joy.
Recommended Fertilizers for Planting and Maintenance
- Starter Fertilizer:  Plant with Espoma Organic Bio-tone® Starter Plus. This will increase root mass and help avoid transplant loss in difficult planting conditions.
- Fertilizer to Maintain: Grasses will do well when fertilized each year with Espoma Organic Palm-tone Fertilizer
Growing Guide
Currently, we only have growing guides for our edible plants.  We are working on them for our ornamental & landscaping plants, and will add them in the near future. Contact us if you have questions on how to plant and nurture your Grasses, and we will be glad to have one of our gardeners assist you.
Ornamental & Landscaping Plants at Just Fruits & Exotics
Although Just Fruits and Exotics has been providing ornamental and landscaping plants to customers at our nursery since we added “Exotics” to our name in the 1990’s, we never had them available to our customers online.
However, September of 2018, with the launch of our updated Just Fruits and Exotics website, we added many of our ornamental and landscaping plants to our online store for our customers nationwide.  We encourage you to “Fruitscape†your yards, mixing edibles and ornamentals to make your own edible garden.

Shipping Information
Before Your Plants Arrive: You can find many guides on unpacking, planting, & care, on our growing guides page.
The Journey From Our Nursery to Your Door: We NEVER ship our plants bare root. Your plant will travel in the very container in which it was nurtured. We thoroughly prune and water them before packing, and make sure they’re well wrapped to retain moisture during transit. It’s as though you’ve personally collected them from our nursery!
Choose Your Ship Date: We understand you’ll want to be available when your plant arrives. Our checkout process features a handy calendar that allows you to choose the Monday on which you want your plant to ship. Depending on your location, you’ll likely receive your plant by Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of that week. Once shipped, UPS will generate a tracking number and send it to the email you provided. You can then follow your plant’s journey and ensure someone is available to unpack it on arrival day.
