What to Know About the Tree
The Panachee Tiger Stripe Fig Tree is a sight to behold, showcasing both beauty and vigor. It’s a deciduous tree, shedding its leaves in winter to reveal an elegant, sculptural form. Come spring, it bursts back to life, graced with large, deeply lobed leaves that provide a lush canopy. Reaching a manageable height of 10-15 feet when mature, it is perfect for a variety of garden spaces or as a potted specimen. This tree not only adds a touch of the exotic to your garden but is also known for its hardiness and ease of care.
As summer wanes, anticipation grows for the Panachee Tiger Stripe Fig’s harvest season. Late summer to early fall invites you to gather these jeweled fruits, with their signature tiger stripes signaling peak ripeness. It’s a time of abundance, where the rewards of your garden’s labor come to fruition in the form of delectable figs, ready to be savored and shared.

Fruitscaping™ with Fig Trees
Embrace the joy of Fruitscaping™ with our Fig Trees. Among the simplest and most rewarding fruiting plants to grow, figs are an excellent addition to any organic garden. Their inherent disease resistance and few pest issues can be managed easily without the need for harsh chemicals, ensuring a bountiful, eco-friendly harvest.
Our Fig trees exhibit a diverse palette of flavors, textures, and ripening seasons. Some varieties possess thin skins with succulent centers evoking the flavor of rich maple syrup – a delight when savored fresh from the tree. Other varieties offer a naturally sweet texture, perfect for drying or turning into delectable preserves.
With their compact growth habit, fig trees are perfect for integrating into the shrubbery border, adding an attractive contrast with their broad, deeply lobed leaves. Consider pairing these distinctive trees with the elegant pomegranate and the fine-textured blueberry bushes for a stunning visual mix. Complement this arrangement with a lush undergrowth of strawberries, creating a cycle of blooming flowers, ripening fruit, and vibrant fall colors.
The young fig tree’s smooth, flexible trunk lends itself to creative gardening techniques. Train it into an espalier for a living wall, or twist it into a striking specimen tree. If you’re dealing with limited space, lay the trunk flat against the ground, and watch as the vertical shoots transform into a natural, green hedge.
Fig trees are also well-suited to container gardening. The root restriction of a pot often encourages the tree to produce even more prolific crops. So, if you’re an urban gardener or short on garden space, our fig trees will prove a perfect fit.
Embrace the ease and joy of Fruitscaping™ with Fig Trees. Enjoy the journey from planting and care to the sweet reward of your homegrown figs.
