What to Know About the Plant

The Natchez Blackberry Bush stands out with its attractive, semi-erect canes that can reach up to 5 feet in height. During the spring, it showcases delicate white flowers that give way to the glossy black fruits in early summer. This thornless variety provides a pain-free picking experience and is a robust, hardy plant that goes dormant in the winter. Its disease resistance and adaptability to different soils make it a worry-free addition to any garden.

Prepare for an abundant harvest as the Natchez Blackberry Bush bears fruit typically from June to July. This early fruiting season means you can be among the first to savor and share these exquisite berries. Fruitscaping with Blackberry Bushes

Bring the wonder of Fruitscaping™ to your garden with our Blackberry Bushes. These hardy plants provide a rewarding and fruitful gardening experience, rich in flavor and benefits.

Blackberry bushes are robust plants that adapt well to a variety of soil conditions. However, they thrive best in well-draining, fertile soils enriched with organic matter. Mulching is recommended, not only to suppress weeds and retain soil moisture, but also to keep the fruit clean and easy to pick.

Blackberries are an irresistible treat, filled with sweet, juicy flavor and high nutritional value. These sun-loving plants yield abundant crops that are perfect for fresh eating, baking, freezing, or making into mouthwatering preserves or wines.

Beyond their delicious fruit, Blackberry bushes are also great aesthetic additions to your garden. The arching canes and delicate white or pink flowers in the spring add an ornamental touch, while the glossy, deep green leaves provide an attractive backdrop throughout the season.

Blackberry bushes are versatile and suit different gardening styles. They can be trained along fences, trellises, or walls for an impressive living screen, or grown as freestanding plants for a striking garden feature. If space is a premium, consider container gardening. Pruning and training your blackberry bush can also result in higher quality fruit, as it improves sunlight exposure and air circulation.

Integrating Blackberry bushes with other fruitful plants such as apple trees, blueberry bushes, or grapevines will create an impressive, edible landscape. Imagine the delight of harvesting a variety of fresh, homegrown fruits right from your own garden!

With Blackberry bushes, the joy of Fruitscaping™ comes full circle – from planting and care to the rewarding harvest of plump, juicy berries.

Shipping Information

Before Your Plants Arrive: You can find many guides on unpacking, planting, & care, on our growing guides page.

The Journey From Our Nursery to Your Door:  We NEVER ship our plants bare root. Your plant will travel in the very container in which it was nurtured. We thoroughly prune and water them before packing, and make sure they’re well wrapped to retain moisture during transit. It’s as though you’ve personally collected them from our nursery!

Choose Your Ship Date: We understand you’ll want to be available when your plant arrives. Our checkout process features a handy calendar that allows you to choose the Monday on which you want your plant to ship. Depending on your location, you’ll likely receive your plant by Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of that week. Once shipped, UPS will generate a tracking number and send it to the email you provided. You can then follow your plant’s journey and ensure someone is available to unpack it on arrival day.
