What to Know About the Plant
The Lavender Formosa Azalea Bush features glossy, dark green leaves that provide a lush backdrop to its lavender blooms. This evergreen shrub grows to a height of 4-6 feet, creating a compact and tidy appearance that is perfect for borders, hedges, or containers. Its graceful form and year-round foliage make it a versatile and low-maintenance addition to any landscape.
Enhancing your Fruitscape
Integrate the Lavender Formosa Azalea Bush into your fruitscape to add a touch of color and charm. Pair it with fruit trees like Peach, Plum, or Cherry for a dynamic contrast between the ornamental blooms and the edible fruits. Mix in berry plants such as Blueberries, Raspberries, or Blackberries to create a vibrant and fruitful display. Tropical plants like Pineapple Guava or Citrus trees can complement the azalea’s exotic appearance, while herbs like Rosemary or Thyme provide aromatic accents that enhance the overall sensory experience of your garden. Landscaping with Azalea Bushes
Azaleas are a southern classic for good reason. They grow incredibly well and look great year round. In the spring you are greeted with an explosion of color and fragrance. The healthy plants seem to have as many buds and blooms as they do leaves. All year round the evergreen leaves will add a lush vibe to your yard. Because Chinese azaleas are evergreen, they make wonderful borders, hedges and even privacy screens. The uses for azaleas in the landscape are endless and add a touch of southern charm to any home.
Recommended Fertilizers
- Starter Fertilizer:  Plant with Espoma Organic Bio-tone® Starter Plus. This will increase root mass and help avoid transplant loss in difficult planting conditions.
- Fertilizer to Maintain: Azalea Bushes will thrive with a more acidic fertilizer. We recommend Espoma Organic Holly-tone Fertilizer for all of our Azalea varieties.
Growing Guide
Currently, we only have growing guides for our edible plants.  We are working on them for our ornamental & landscaping plants, and will add them in the near future. Contact us if you have questions on how to plant and nurture your Azalea Bushes, and we will be glad to have one of our gardeners assist you.

Shipping Information
Before Your Plants Arrive: You can find many guides on unpacking, planting, & care, on our growing guides page.
The Journey From Our Nursery to Your Door: We NEVER ship our plants bare root. Your plant will travel in the very container in which it was nurtured. We thoroughly prune and water them before packing, and make sure they’re well wrapped to retain moisture during transit. It’s as though you’ve personally collected them from our nursery!
Choose Your Ship Date: We understand you’ll want to be available when your plant arrives. Our checkout process features a handy calendar that allows you to choose the Monday on which you want your plant to ship. Depending on your location, you’ll likely receive your plant by Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of that week. Once shipped, UPS will generate a tracking number and send it to the email you provided. You can then follow your plant’s journey and ensure someone is available to unpack it on arrival day.
