Tibouchina – Princess Flower: Add a Royal Touch to Your Garden
About the Bloom
Experience the regal beauty of the Tibouchina’s bloom, known as the Princess Flower, with vibrant purple flowers that bloom in the spring and summer. Each bloom is a showstopper, attracting butterflies and hummingbirds with its stunning color and delicate petals. The Princess Flower adds a touch of royalty to any garden with its majestic blooms.
What to Know About the Plant
The Tibouchina is an evergreen shrub with deep green, velvety leaves that provide a lush backdrop for its vibrant blooms. It grows up to 6-8 feet tall, making it a perfect choice for adding a pop of color and texture to your landscape. This ornamental plant is sure to stand out with its distinctive foliage and striking flowers.
Enhancing your Fruitscape
Integrate the elegance of the Tibouchina into your fruitscape by pairing it with fruit trees like Citrus, Avocado, and Fig, which complement its colorful blooms with their own unique fruits. Berry plants such as Blueberries and Raspberries can add a burst of contrasting color, while herbs like Basil and Mint bring a fragrant touch to your garden. Mix in tropical plants like Banana and Pineapple for an exotic flair that harmonizes with the Tibouchina’s vibrant presence. Together, these plants create a visually stunning and diverse landscape that combines ornamental beauty with edible delights.
With Just Fruits and Exotics, you can expect your Tibouchina plant to be shipped 100% in pot, ensuring a smooth transition to your garden. Our superior packaging and easy shipping make the process hassle-free, while our nationally renowned, family-owned and operated online nursery brings a trusted, local-friendly vibe to your shopping experience. Elevate your garden with the Princess Flower Tibouchina and transform your outdoor space into a royal oasis.
Landscaping with House Plants
While this plant is perfectly suited for growing in a container as a house plant, it can just as well be planted in the ground to enhance a garden. We love these plants for that reason. They add instant appeal to spruce up the atmosphere wherever you choose. They typically prefer a little more shade and warmth which is why they do well on a patio or inside the house. The love of house plants is so natural and healthy. House plants improve the quality of air and enhance our moods. That’s why we can’t seem to get enough of them! Try mixing colors and textures to find your favorite planter look.

Growing Guide
Currently, we only have growing guides for our edible plants.  We are working on them for our ornamental & landscaping plants, and will add them in the near future. Contact us if you have questions on how to plant and nurture your House Plants, and we will be glad to have one of our gardeners assist you.
Ornamental & Landscaping Plants at Just Fruits & Exotics
Although Just Fruits and Exotics has been providing ornamental and landscaping plants to customers at our nursery since we added “Exotics” to our name in the 1990’s, we never had them available to our customers online.
However, September of 2018, with the launch of our updated Just Fruits and Exotics website, we added many of our ornamental and landscaping plants to our online store for our customers nationwide.  We encourage you to “Fruitscape†your yards, mixing edibles and ornamentals to make your own edible garden.

Shipping Information
Before Your Plants Arrive: You can find many guides on unpacking, planting, & care, on our growing guides page.
The Journey From Our Nursery to Your Door: We NEVER ship our plants bare root. Your plant will travel in the very container in which it was nurtured. We thoroughly prune and water them before packing, and make sure they’re well wrapped to retain moisture during transit. It’s as though you’ve personally collected them from our nursery!
Choose Your Ship Date: We understand you’ll want to be available when your plant arrives. Our checkout process features a handy calendar that allows you to choose the Monday on which you want your plant to ship. Depending on your location, you’ll likely receive your plant by Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of that week. Once shipped, UPS will generate a tracking number and send it to the email you provided. You can then follow your plant’s journey and ensure someone is available to unpack it on arrival day.
