Blue Eyed Grass - Ethereal Beauty for Your Garden

About the Bloom

Indulge in the delicate charm of the Blue Eyed Grass's blooms, a mesmerizing blend of blue and yellow hues that adorn your garden in the spring and summer. Each blossom features intricate patterns that resemble an artist's brush strokes, creating a whimsical and enchanting display. The subtle fragrance adds an extra layer of allure to this petite yet captivating flower.

What to Know About the Plant

The Blue Eyed Grass boasts slender, grass-like leaves in a vibrant green color, adding a pop of freshness to any landscape. This perennial herbaceous plant is evergreen, providing year-round interest with its foliage. It typically grows to a height of 12-18 inches, making it a perfect choice for borders, rock gardens, or container plantings. Its compact size and graceful appearance make it a versatile addition to any garden design.

Enhancing your Fruitscape

Introduce the ethereal beauty of the Blue Eyed Grass into your fruitscape to infuse a touch of whimsy and elegance. Pair this ornamental plant with fruit trees like Cherry, Plum, or Fig for a harmonious blend of color and texture. Berry plants such as Strawberries and Blueberries complement its delicate blooms with their own vibrant fruits. Tropical plants like Banana or Pineapple add a tropical flair, while aromatic herbs like Mint and Basil enhance the sensory experience of your garden. By combining the Blue Eyed Grass with a variety of edibles and ornamentals, you can create a landscape that is as visually stunning as it is fruitful, transforming your outdoor space into a magical oasis.

Planting & Care
Landscaping with Grasses

These grasses are so incredibly lovely to use in the landscape because they can be used in so many ways. They can border a bed or be the centerpiece. They can be scattered throughout to create tuffs of texture to contrast your shrubs and trees. Or they can be neatly mixed in with flowers to accentuate the colors and shapes. We love these grasses because of all the fun we have planting them and watching them grow to be such a joy.

Growing Guide

Currently, we only have growing guides for our edible plants.   We are working on them for our ornamental & landscaping plants, and will add them in the near future.  Contact us if you have questions on how to plant and nurture your Grasses, and we will be glad to have one of our gardeners assist you.

Ornamental & Landscaping Plants at Just Fruits & Exotics

Although Just Fruits and Exotics has been providing ornamental and landscaping plants to customers at our nursery since we added “Exotics” to our name in the 1990’s, we never had them available to our customers online.

However, September of 2018, with the launch of our updated Just Fruits and Exotics website, we added many of our ornamental and landscaping plants to our online store for our customers nationwide.   We encourage you to “Fruitscape” your yards, mixing edibles and ornamentals to make your own edible garden.

Shipping Information

Before Your Plants Arrive: You can find many guides on unpacking, planting, & care, on our growing guides page.

The Journey From Our Nursery to Your Door:  We NEVER ship our plants bare root. Your plant will travel in the very container in which it was nurtured. We thoroughly prune and water them before packing, and make sure they’re well wrapped to retain moisture during transit. It’s as though you’ve personally collected them from our nursery!

Choose Your Ship Date: We understand you’ll want to be available when your plant arrives. Our checkout process features a handy calendar that allows you to choose the Monday on which you want your plant to ship. Depending on your location, you’ll likely receive your plant by Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of that week. Once shipped, UPS will generate a tracking number and send it to the email you provided. You can then follow your plant’s journey and ensure someone is available to unpack it on arrival day.
