Blue Arrows Rush - Bold and Beautiful Choice for Your Garden
About the Bloom
The Blue Arrows Rush is a stunning ornamental plant that does not bloom. However, its slender, upright foliage adds a unique architectural element to any garden. The narrow blue-green leaves grow in dense clumps, creating a striking visual impact that is sure to captivate onlookers.
What to Know About the Plant
This evergreen plant features long, narrow leaves that are a vibrant blue-green color, adding a splash of color to your landscape year-round. The Blue Arrows Rush is a compact plant that typically grows to around 2-3 feet tall, making it an ideal choice for borders, containers, or mass plantings. Its graceful, vertical growth habit lends a contemporary feel to any garden design.
Enhancing your Fruitscape
Pair the Blue Arrows Rush with fruit trees like Apple, Pear, or Citrus for a modern, sophisticated look that combines edibles and ornamentals seamlessly. The bold foliage of the Blue Arrows Rush provides a striking contrast to the lush greenery of fruit trees, creating a dynamic and visually appealing garden. Mix in berry plants such as Blueberries or Raspberries to add pops of color and texture to your landscape. Tropical plants like Banana trees or Pineapples can also complement the Blue Arrows Rush with their exotic flair. Additionally, herbs like Mint, Basil, or Thyme can be planted alongside the Blue Arrows Rush to enhance its fragrance and provide a culinary twist to your garden.

Landscaping with Grasses
These grasses are so incredibly lovely to use in the landscape because they can be used in so many ways. They can border a bed or be the centerpiece. They can be scattered throughout to create tuffs of texture to contrast your shrubs and trees. Or they can be neatly mixed in with flowers to accentuate the colors and shapes. We love these grasses because of all the fun we have planting them and watching them grow to be such a joy.
Recommended Fertilizers for Planting and Maintenance
- Starter Fertilizer:  Plant with Espoma Organic Bio-tone® Starter Plus. This will increase root mass and help avoid transplant loss in difficult planting conditions.
- Fertilizer to Maintain: Grasses will do well when fertilized each year with Espoma Organic Palm-tone Fertilizer
Growing Guide
Currently, we only have growing guides for our edible plants.  We are working on them for our ornamental & landscaping plants, and will add them in the near future. Contact us if you have questions on how to plant and nurture your Grasses, and we will be glad to have one of our gardeners assist you.
Ornamental & Landscaping Plants at Just Fruits & Exotics
Although Just Fruits and Exotics has been providing ornamental and landscaping plants to customers at our nursery since we added “Exotics” to our name in the 1990’s, we never had them available to our customers online.
However, September of 2018, with the launch of our updated Just Fruits and Exotics website, we added many of our ornamental and landscaping plants to our online store for our customers nationwide.  We encourage you to “Fruitscape†your yards, mixing edibles and ornamentals to make your own edible garden.

Shipping Information
Before Your Plants Arrive: You can find many guides on unpacking, planting, & care, on our growing guides page.
The Journey From Our Nursery to Your Door: We NEVER ship our plants bare root. Your plant will travel in the very container in which it was nurtured. We thoroughly prune and water them before packing, and make sure they’re well wrapped to retain moisture during transit. It’s as though you’ve personally collected them from our nursery!
Choose Your Ship Date: We understand you’ll want to be available when your plant arrives. Our checkout process features a handy calendar that allows you to choose the Monday on which you want your plant to ship. Depending on your location, you’ll likely receive your plant by Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of that week. Once shipped, UPS will generate a tracking number and send it to the email you provided. You can then follow your plant’s journey and ensure someone is available to unpack it on arrival day.
