Adagio Dwarf Maiden Grass - Elegant and Soothing Addition to Your Landscape

About the Bloom

The Adagio Dwarf Maiden Grass may not bloom, but its graceful foliage more than makes up for it. With slender, arching leaves that sway gently in the breeze, this ornamental grass adds a sense of movement and tranquility to any garden. The foliage starts as a soft green hue and transitions to a stunning golden color in the fall, creating a visual spectacle throughout the seasons.

What to Know About the Plant

This deciduous grass features narrow leaves that grow in a compact, upright clump, reaching a height of 2-3 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide. Its delicate appearance belies its hardiness, as it can withstand a variety of growing conditions, from full sun to partial shade. Adagio Dwarf Maiden Grass is a low-maintenance plant that requires minimal care, making it an ideal choice for busy gardeners.

Enhancing your Fruitscape

Pair the Adagio Dwarf Maiden Grass with fruit trees like Cherry, Plum, and Peach for a striking contrast in textures and colors. The graceful form of this grass complements the sturdy structure of fruit trees, creating a harmonious balance in your landscape. Berry plants such as Strawberries and Blackberries add a pop of color at ground level, while tropical plants like Banana and Papaya bring a touch of exotic flair. Herbs like Mint and Basil can be interplanted with Adagio Dwarf Maiden Grass to create a sensory oasis that delights both the eyes and the nose.

Planting & Care
Landscaping with Grasses

These grasses are so incredibly lovely to use in the landscape because they can be used in so many ways. They can border a bed or be the centerpiece. They can be scattered throughout to create tuffs of texture to contrast your shrubs and trees. Or they can be neatly mixed in with flowers to accentuate the colors and shapes. We love these grasses because of all the fun we have planting them and watching them grow to be such a joy.

Growing Guide

Currently, we only have growing guides for our edible plants.   We are working on them for our ornamental & landscaping plants, and will add them in the near future.  Contact us if you have questions on how to plant and nurture your Grasses, and we will be glad to have one of our gardeners assist you.

Ornamental & Landscaping Plants at Just Fruits & Exotics

Although Just Fruits and Exotics has been providing ornamental and landscaping plants to customers at our nursery since we added “Exotics” to our name in the 1990’s, we never had them available to our customers online.

However, September of 2018, with the launch of our updated Just Fruits and Exotics website, we added many of our ornamental and landscaping plants to our online store for our customers nationwide.   We encourage you to “Fruitscape” your yards, mixing edibles and ornamentals to make your own edible garden.

Shipping Information

Before Your Plants Arrive: You can find many guides on unpacking, planting, & care, on our growing guides page.

The Journey From Our Nursery to Your Door:  We NEVER ship our plants bare root. Your plant will travel in the very container in which it was nurtured. We thoroughly prune and water them before packing, and make sure they’re well wrapped to retain moisture during transit. It’s as though you’ve personally collected them from our nursery!

Choose Your Ship Date: We understand you’ll want to be available when your plant arrives. Our checkout process features a handy calendar that allows you to choose the Monday on which you want your plant to ship. Depending on your location, you’ll likely receive your plant by Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of that week. Once shipped, UPS will generate a tracking number and send it to the email you provided. You can then follow your plant’s journey and ensure someone is available to unpack it on arrival day.
