Every year the nursery takes a week off between Christmas and New Years. We take this pause to give our crew time to spend with their families and for us to reflect and enjoy some time in the winter woods. It’s the day after Christmas and it’s a quiet time of the year, there is a lot to reflect on.
It’s been a wonderful year and we give thanks to all of you for helping us to keep making it happen. The farm and nursery bump along well. We spent a good part of the summer growing one of the most beautiful crops of fruit trees we have put in. Each year it’s a challenge and a chance to perfect the art of growing. As gardeners that’s what keep us going. We look forward to each new season as a chance to work with and watch the awesomeness of nature. To plant a seed, watch it unfurl, respond to care and grow into something that flowers or fruits, That is truly satisfying.
Our year has also been filled with wonderful people. It’s an honor to be part of a community of people that loves nature and gardening. In our part to help solve your gardening puzzles and give advice, we also learn better ways to garden and meet wonderful people.
