Product Description

Thomasville Citrangequat Tree – X Fortucitrocirus spp. Rutaceae ‘Thomasville’
Developed around the turn of the century, to satisfy the lust for citrus further north, the Thomasville citrangequat is even more cold hardy than kumquats. Mature trees can withstand temperatures down to at least 10F. Beautiful tear-drop shaped fruits are highly ornamental and stay looking pretty on the tree for a very long time. Juicy and tart, they’re delicious as a lime substitute (make ceviche!) or marmalade. Hybrid cross of a Nagami kumquat and Willits citrange. Named after the city of Thomasville, GA where it first fruited. Self fertile. Ripens Jan-Apr.
